About Me

Alysa Armstrong-Gibbs

Chapter: “Abort!” They Said

Alysa Armstrong-Gibbs is the Executive Director of AG Educational Group and Alysa Gibbs, LLC. She is a wife, mother, and bonus grandma.  She holds a degree in Human Services/Child Welfare from the University of South Alabama, and is a graduate of Partners in Policymaking.
 
As a former social worker and classroom teacher, Alysa’s focus is to ensure that diverse learners are seen, heard, and valued at home, school & the community, and that their needs are met without limits and with dignity and respect. Her extensive experience working with children spans over 34 years.
 
As a Master IEP Coach, Alysa lends her expertise to families to help them navigate the special education system and the IEP process. Additionally,
she trains families on neurodevelopmental techniques to maximize the cognitive, physical and nutritional health of their differently-abled children.
 
Alysa, 2018 Advocate of the Year, has been featured on radio, TV, podcasts and in magazine articles. Alysa is proud to serve as a support parent for Parent 2 Parent of Georgia and serves on the Advisory Board for an Atlanta based nonprofit, Our Children’s Story. Alysa recently opened a Virtual Learning Cafe & Parent Resource Center in Decatur, GA to meet the needs of those struggling with online learning.
